John 5:19-21

¹⁹ Then Jesus said to them, Truly truly I say to you, the Son can do nothing of himself, but that which he sees the Father do. For whatsoever he does, that the Son does also. ²⁰ For the Father loves the Son and shows him all things, whatever he himself does. And he will show him greater works than these, because you should marvel. ²¹ For likewise as the Father raises up the dead and gives them life, even so the Son gives life to whom he will.
